Eight passengers in a truck perish following road collision in Limpopo

EIGHT people were killed when a truck in which they were travelling in was sideswiped by a bus along the R555 road in the Sekhukhune district in Limpopo early on Thursday.

The deceased were all passengers in the truck being transported to work at a brick manufacturing company.

Earlier reports indicate that the accident was caused by a bus which overtook unsafely and sideswiped with a truck.

Transport and community safety MEC, Florence Radzilani, called on motorists to drive with caution and observe traffic rules at all times.
