Kaizer Chiefs adds spice to the Polokwane City Marathon on Saturday

KAIZER Chiefs has added a spice to the 2024 Polokwane City Marathon with a special incentive to the first 3 000 registrants on Saturday.

The club, which is in partnership with the municipality, will give away complimentary tickets for its match with Supersport United at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium starting at 17:30 the same day.

The marathon, which is also the Comrade qualifying event, has been a major sporting event in the city and a catalyst in local economic growth for the past years.

Executive mayor, John Mpe, said the City of Polokwane, as the economic hub of Limpopo province, will continue to use sporting activities to promote sport tourism to market the city and stimulate economic activities through organisation of major events.

“Polokwane City Marathon embodies the spirit of unity and resilience that defines our municipality. By taking part in this event, we not only challenge ourselves physically, but also come together to support one another and celebrate our shared commitment to health and wellness, Mpe said.
