Limpopo premier on the passing of Prof Nkondo: “His leadership has shaped the minds and characters of many…”
LIMPOPO premier, Dr Phophi Ramathuba, has described Prof Muxe Nkondo as a “visionary leader who made contributions to society, particularly in the field of education”.
Nkondo died on Sunday at the age of 83. In his career as an academic, he served as vice-chancellor and principal of the University of Venda and University of Limpopo.
“His impact in shaping perspectives for transformation at the University of Limpopo and University of Venda, where he served as vice-chancellor and principal, will be remembered and cherished.
“His vision for prioritizing science and technology at the University of Venda had left a lasting legacy in the academic community,” Ramathuba said.
She said Nkondo’s influence extended beyond the academic realm and his roles in Limpopo has left an indelible mark on the development of education and society.
“His leadership has shaped the minds and characters of many, and his legacy will continue to inspire future generations,” Ramathuba said.
