Crime round-up: Teacher murdered in Malamulele, lifeless body found along public road and rapist sent for life in jail
A 39-year old teacher was found murdered in her one-roomed house at Malamulele in Limpopo, allegedly by a man who stayed with her. Police are the hunt for the man who is known in the village.
Police were alerted on Tuesday, and on arrival, a family member pointed to a one-roomed house that was closed. They found a lifeless body covered in blood.
In Letsitele, a badly burnt body was discovered along the R71 public road near Zanghoma village on Wednesday. Police found woods and stones on top of the body which burnt beyond recognition.
The motive behind the horrific incident is unknown at this stage.
A 21-year old man, Pfarelo Nemutandani, was sentenced to life imprinsonment for raping his friend’s partner at Ha-Mutsha Khwekhwe in 2022.
The victim visited his boyfriend. At some stage, the boyfriend went outside and Nemutandani slipped into bed. She initially was under the impression it was her boyfriend making love, but realised it was a different.
She screamed and a case of rape was later opened with the police.
