56-year old relative arrested for murder of a nurse shot at Lebowakgomo Hospital’s gate  

A 56-year old relative of a nurse gunned down at the gate of Lebowakgomo Hospital in Limpopo late last month has been arrested.

The nurse, Mumsy Seribishane (52), was on her way to work when she was shot dead at the entrance of the hospital at about 17; 00 on 23 October 2024.

Police spokesperson, Colonel Malesela Ledwaba, said an intelligence driven operation was executed which led to the arrest of the suspect in Lebowakgomo Zone A on Wednesday.

“During the arrest, the suspect was found in possession of a police firearm with ammunition reported stolen at Seshego precinct during the month of June 2024. 

“Police also seized a VW Golf 7 motor vehicle believed to have been used in the commission of the crime,” Ledwaba said.

The suspect is expected to appear in the Thabamoopo magistrate court on Friday.
