Two men suspected of strangling to death Limpopo traffic officer remanded in custody
TWO suspects arrested for the murder of Limpopo traffic officer, Mbulaheni Patrick Netshidzivhani, were remanded in custody until next month following their brief appearance in court on Thursday.
Vhutshilo Rotshidzwa Munyai (25) and Muano Nekhubvi (21) were apprehended a few days after Netshidzivhani (56) went missing on Sunday.
The traffic officer, who was attached to Mutale Traffic Station, left home in Ha-Makhuvha, Vhembe district, to do his routine exercises at Khungoni mountain. He never returned home and he was later found strangled to death on the mountain.
The two suspects are expected to appear in court again 3 March 2025.
Limpopo transport and community safety MEC, Violet Mathye, visited the family of the traffic officer on Thursday. She said further investigations by the police were underway and more arrests were imminent.
