Limpopo executive council members to visit families of soldiers killed in the DRC
LIMPOPO MECs and mayors, led by Premier Phophi Ramathuba, will on Sunday visit the families of SA National Defence Force soldiers killed in action in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
Ramathuba has called on the relevant communities to join in during the visits which will start at 11am at various villages where the fallen soldiers come from.
The villages include Botlokwa, Ga-Matlala, Burgersfort-Moroke, Hlaneki, Schoonord, Ga-Sekororo, Khubvi and Mashishimale.
“We share the grief of the families in our province and the entire country for the lives of soldiers who died in the DRC.
“The President of South Africa, Mr Matamela Ramaphosa, has sent condolences to the families. We too like to physically visit the families to assure them of our support during this time of grief,” Ramathuba said.
